From the Pastor's Pen

September  2008

Isn’t it wonderful to see so many pictures of new members in our monthly newsletter? As our church continues to grow, our congregation has made the decision to make more room for families with a new Sunday School building. We voted by about 97% in favor of contracting with Pope Construction to build a $3.5 million two-story children’s and preschool ministry building and add new parking. We plan to have a Groundbreaking on Homecoming Sunday, November 2.

As we grow bigger, we need to get smaller. What I mean is, that we all need to be involved in small groups and ministries such as Sunday School, to build relationships. Good Neighbor Night on October 8 is another way to do that. Click on "Media & Publications" and then the monthly newsletter to see the list of host homes for Good Neighbor Night. Click on "Ministries" and "Sunday School" to find a class that's right for you. There are many other ways to build relationships at our church. Check them out on this web page, and then try them out. You'll be glad that you did!

See you Sunday with a Bible in your hand and the Son shining on your face!
Your pastor,

Bob Rogers
