NEW CHILDREN'S MINISTRY BUILDING

THE NEW PRESCHOOL/CHILDREN'S BUILDING IS FINISHED!
Dedication of the building will be Sunday, August 1 at 11:45 a.m. after the second worship service, with open house that afternoon.

The new 24,000-square foot building has preschool Sunday School classes on the first floor, grade school Sunday School classes on the second floor, a large children's church room on the second floor, and a walkover connecting to the old educational building (Weekday Ministry) and the Memorial Chapel. Since the new building has an elevator, this makes all three buildings handicap accessible.
 

First Baptist Church of Rincon will begin construction of a new two-story children's ministry building in early 2009. Pope Construction of Statesboro is in charge of building the structure, which will have 17 new classrooms and a large children's church room. The second floor will connect to the second floor of the current educational building and chapel complex. Since the new building will have an elevator, all three buildings will become handicapped accessible. The contractor will prepare a site with over 100 new parking spaces between the current chapel and Rincon Elementary School and in front of the new building. Construction is expected to take about one year to complete. The project is being paid for out of the church budget, but gifts designated to "Debt Retirement" will help us pay the loan earlier.
