Women On Mission and Ministry Mission Statement
Our women’s ministry is designed to meet the complex needs of today’s
woman. Women especially need one another’s encouragement, prayer and guidance. The goal is to bring together women of all ages and stages for edification and service opportunities. When we grow and mature in godliness, we are better equipped to nurture and serve in our families, to enrich our church, and to evangelize our community. (Titus 2: 3-6, II Timothy 2:2)

Women On Mission and Ministry
Women on Mission enjoy three different groups that meet once a month in different locations and times to accommodate a variety of ages and schedules. Meeting to study, pray for and promote missions not only in our local area but around the world. Women on mission focus on weeks of prayer for our missionaries serving around the world, The Annie Armstrong Easter Offering for North American Missions and the Lottie Moon Christmas Offerings for International Missions.

Also working under the Women on Missions umbrella are Girls in Action
(grades 1—5) and Mission Friends (birth through kindergarten), which meet every Wednesday evening teaching our children to promote and support missions. All of our groups work together in our CARING team format to promote women’s ministries reaching and connecting women not only within our church but within our community as well.

Women On Mission and Ministry utilize the CARING Team format for ministry in the following areas:

C = COMMUNICATION
The goal of the "C" Team
is to seek to direct people to Jesus and to motivate
them to listen to His voice through advertisements,
publications, and speaking opportunities. Our purpose
is to glorify and edify Jesus in everything we do.

A = ACTION
Our purpose is to have an aggressive
plan of mission projects to benefit the members of
our church and community. We will be constantly
and consistently looking for opportunities for women
to be involved in missions.

R = REACHING
Reaching is the ministry and
outreach arm of our church. One way we do this is
through FAITH Evangelism and GROW. Our purpose
is to connect with people who attend our church
and introduce them to Jesus.

I = INTERCESSION
Intercessory Prayer is a
ministry that unleashes the power of God. Our purpose
is to work with the church staff to develop a
spiritual atmosphere in the life of all who are touched
by First Baptist Church. We do this by providing
prayer support, both privately and corporately, for
God's will be done in our lives, our church, and our
world.

N = NURTURING
The purpose of the "N" Team is
to offer God's love to help other women as they strive
to live a godly life. We offer a helping hand, a listening
ear, and prayer for women in need.

G = GROWING
Growth comes through discipleship,
which is developed through knowledge and understanding
of God's Word. Our purpose is to do this
by involving women in Bible study -- to learn together
how to "take hold of Christ" for the rest of our lives.
