Ed Ike, Counselor

Ed Ike, Licensed Professional Counselor, has been our church counselor since May 2007. He contracts with the church to offer counseling services by appointment to people who are members of the church and/or members of the Sunday School. You pay $15 per session, and the church pays the rest of Mr. Ike's fee. (He is also available to see non-members, but they must pay his full fee.)

Mr. Ed, as he likes to be called, is available for daytime and evening appointments at the private counseling room near the left side entrance of the Memorial Chapel, by calling his cell phone at 658-2767.

He counsels from a Christian worldview, specializing in marriage and family therapy and grief counseling. Mr. Ed has a B.S. from the Citadel, a M.Ed. and Ed.S. from Georgia Southern Universtiy in counseling. He served as a counselor in the Savannah/Chatham school system for 32 years, and for one year with the Barnabas Center for Counseling. He currently has a private practice. Mr. Ed grew up attending Bull Street Baptist Church in Savannah, and he and his wife now attend Chapel in the Gardens Presbyterian Church in Garden City.
