Dr. Bill Gammon, Associate Pastor

Bill Gammon, our Associate pastor, joined our staff in February of 2004. A native of Williamsburg, Virginia he comes to First Baptist having served 18 years in Tallahassee, Florida. Before that, he was a missionary to Botswana in Southern Africa. He is a graduate of Bluefield College (B.A.) and The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary (M.Div./C.E., D. Min). He is responsible for overseeing the educational ministries of the church, including Sunday School, and is the staff person to relate to most of the church committees.
He also oversees the children’s ministries of the church and organizes our F.A.I.T.H. evangelism ministry. Bill loves creative arts, including drawing and painting murals. He loves gardening and snow skiing. He and his wife Lucia have “3 preschool cats.”
